A Long-Standing Tradition in Downtown Katy

Katy Market Day has been a cherished staple of the community for over three decades. Located in Historical Downtown Katy, this vibrant marketplace brings together local vendors and residents every third Saturday of the month from March to November. Since its inception, it has fostered an environment of creativity, connection, and local pride. With more than 100 vendors showcasing their crafts, art, and food options, it has truly become a hub for community engagement.

The market is organized by Limited Edition Art & Antiques and has recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. As the year draws to a close, the anticipation builds for the annual Katy Old Fashioned Christmas event on December 7th. This special occasion promises to be memorable, with over 200 vendors participating along with children’s activities, live music, and the beloved appearance of Santa Claus. It’s a wonderful way for families to come together and experience the festive spirit.

Important Changes Ahead for Katy Market Day

As much as the community looks forward to these events, we must face an impending change. In a recent announcement, it was revealed that Katy Market Day will cease operations in 2025 due to the City of Katy not granting permission to close the streets for future markets. After 30 successful years, this decision leaves many locals heartbroken but also determined to save this significant community event.

Residents are actively advocating for the market’s continuation by signing petitions and rallying support. Whether you are a vendor or a market-goer, it’s vital to voice your thoughts on saving this beloved tradition. To show your support and get involved, locals can visit the event’s website at for more details.

How to Get Involved as a Vendor

Vendors must bring completed registration forms along with their payment (cash or check) to Limited Edition Art & Antiques. This ensures that all vendors are legitimate and lowers the risk of online scams that target those interested in joining.
